Renovation, Repair, and Painting Certified Firm

Did you know you can verify a contractor's license and review recent infractions for violations of Washington State Laws?  Visit the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries website before you hire a contractor!

Did you know there's a new lead based paint law effecting Renovation, Repair and Painting Contractors?

Homes and some buildings built prior to 1978 require a contractor to give the customer the following EPA lead paint disclosure pamphlet:  Renovate Right: Important Lead Hazard Information for Families, Child Care Providers, and Schools (PDF)  Your contractor should give you a form to sign indicating you have received the pamphlet informing you of the potential risks of lead based paint if it is in your home. A certified contractor may need to do a paint test to verify if lead paint exists in the are of your home you are remodeling.

In the state of Washington, Renovation, Repair and Painting contractors are regulated by the EPA. In the future, Renovation, Repair and Painting contractors will be regulated by the state of Washington.

The Home Repair Specialist, Inc is an EPA Certified Renovation, Repair, and Painting Firm (only for the purposes of Section 402 of TSCA). It should also be noted that we are not a Lead Based Paint Abatement specialist (a specialist hired to remove lead based paint).
